The page contains a description of the optional quests in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire , which can be performed on the Port Maje Island. I think it depends what level you are really, but once you hit level 17 or so you’ll be making hundreds of thousands, before that 10’s of thousands between I mostly just do all the side quests I possibly can and collect everything since no weight limit which is awsome.

Steal to soften a bit this aspect, progress with factions to get more gold. Also once you finish your first playthrough by getting most of the achievements or all you can start a new game with 8 blessings if you have enough points for them and 2 of them start you off with like 53k gold on a new game.
